Shoot For A Cause
On October 2, 2016, Collier Sportsmen’s Association hosted it’s First Annual Shoot For A Cause Event. This was an important event for our club as so many of us have been touched through family and friends by this horrible disease.
In our first year, with the help of shooters and sponsors, we were proud to raise $10,000 in proceeds that went to Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh. We had over 70 shooters in the field and were treated with an awesome lunch and dinner from member, Kip Padgelek. The event ended in dramatic fashion with a balloon lift in honor and memory of loved ones.
In October 2017, we held our Second Annual Shoot For A Cause.
In 2017, we wanted to benefit two organizations, Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh and Casting for Recovery Southwest PA. Our field grew to over 100 shooters and with the help and support of the shooters and sponsors we were able to raise $10,000 for each organization. Again, we were treated to awesome food from Kip Padgelek. We were also blessed to start the day with the national anthem sung by Samantha Middlemiss and to end the day once again with a balloon lift in honor-memory of love ones. We look forward to our Third Annual Shoot For A Cause to occur tentatively on October 7, 2018.
